I have been a working
artist since graduating from Kent State University with a B.F.A. in
1975. I opened a pottery studio in Ohio and worked as a clay artist
for approximately twelve years. After moving to Wisconsin and building
a home, I became interested in gardening and the intensity of the
colors and textures of flowers. This along with many trips to Mexico
sparked visual images that I began capturing on film. I use a 4x5
Wista view camera. All photos are printed by myself in a darkroom I
share with my husband, photographer Ray Hartl. .
